How will Kusasa help learners and teachers?

NCS
Kusasa will consist of a comprehensive course of projects for learners in grades 4 to 12. These projects will be designed so that they empower learners to explore their personal, passionate interests. Yet, at the same time, the projects will encompass content aligned with the National Curriculum Statement (NCS).

But Kusasa is not just a nice way to achieve some curriculum requirements. Kusasa is being designed to develop new ways for learners to think about the things they are studying in all of their learning areas: mathematics, physical science, chemistry, biology, geography, history, economics, business studies and others. Kusasa will provide learners with new ways of guiding their thinking to be more analytical and more creative. It will introduce learners to the skill of modelling, which is the skill of using computers and software to simulate the behaviour of the objects, organisms or processes they are studying.

If Kusasa accomplished no more than this, it would already be a giant leap for learners. But there's more. Kusasa will offer teachers a way to develop a new culture of learning in and out of the classroom through planning, action and reflection.
